Whether we work on monologues, audition sides, or digging deeper into a role for which you have already been cast, the process is the same: I meet you wherever you are in your development as an actor, pro or novice, and we work on showcasing your strengths while giving you the tools to grow beyond that which you already do well.
The working environment I create is one of complete safety and creativity. And fun. I’m an actor myself, so I know how vulnerable the process can be. I’m also a director and a seasoned coach with 30 years’ experience under my belt, so I know how to reach each individual actor to bring out the best they can be.
For monologues, my motto is "Express your best, in two minutes or less." In order to achieve this, our focus will be on finding & creating a memorable, truthful, complete theater pieces that showcase your strengths and natural creativity as an actor while leaving the auditioners wanting to see even more from you.
For audition sides and cold reads, we will explore the choices available to you for your character and scene, the technical aspects of presenting an unblocked scene with script in hand, and on the improv skills needed to help you navigate working with unpredictably different (and sometimes difficult) actors in the audition itself.
For roles wherein you are already cast, we will explore diving deeper into your character and the play within the parameters given by the director.
